Kanarraville Falls
Kanarraville Falls Hike
This past week our Young Mens group hiked Kanarraville Falls. I’ve been hearing about this hike ever since we moved to Cedar and I’ve wanted to do it but this was my first time. What a delightful hike. I love red rock slot canyons. This was like a mini version of the Narrows in Zion. Here are some photos from our trip:
Hiking up the stream before hitting the narrows.
Joseph entering the slot canyon
T.K. climbing one of the ladders (the first falls). Joseph at the top. On the right, T.K. empties a boot full of water.
Some of the boys at the top of the second falls.
T.K. in the narrows
Joseph climbing the ladder at the second falls
Waiting for everyone to descend the falls on the way back.
Kyle and Thomas decide to brave the falls
Rory attempts to avoid a deep spot
Descending back down the first ladder.
Joseph descending the first ladder. It was great to see how the older boys who had hiked the falls before and knew the tough spots took responsibility and helped the younger boys safely down.
Layne teaches the importance of proper footwear.
This evening I’ll post a video that includes a fun little rock water slide we went down…

Those blisters. OW. That hike looks like a really fun one to do with the family if we are ever down during the warm season. So beautiful.
Incredible… pc
that looks like tons of fun
I think I am not the adventuresome type… I like seeing the hike from the photos… EXCEPT those nasty heels… EOWEY! mom
